Caring for your flowers

Your flower arrangement has been made with care and attention to details. We at Blooms'n boxes use the freshest and best quality flowers available from our local wholesalers.

The following information includes  flower care instructions and tips to help ensure your flowers thrive as long as possible. If you have any questions, please call or email us.

Flower bouquets, long stem roses and flowers received without a vase:

1. Avoid extreme temperatures and heating vents which will dry and damage your flowers.

2. Cut the stems of your flowers at a sharp angle and be sure the stems do not touch the very bottom of the vase. This impedes water to the flowers if they are not cut at an angle and touch the bottom of the vase.

3. Change the water every 2 days and use cool, fresh water.

4. Use a clean vase to avoid bacterial contamination which shortens the life of your flowers.

4. Mist the heads of the flowers using a small spray bottle and fresh, cool water. This keeps them well hydrated and longer lasting. You can do this every 2-3 days and as needed. *Hydrangeas benefit from this. If you see them wilting, spritz them with water and usually, they will spring back to life.

5. Remove any dead and spoiled stems to avoid bacterial contamination of the fresh stems.

6. Keep all flowers out of the reach of children and pets.

7. Enjoy your flowers!

Centerpieces, sprays, and flowers in floral foam:

1. Avoid extreme temperatures and heating vents which will dry and damage your flowers.

2. Each day, check the foam to ensure it still feels heavy and moist. This is the arrangement's water source. Add 1/4 to 1/2 cup of fresh, cool water each day and as needed.

3. Avoid over watering the arrangement to prevent water from overflowing.

4. Place the arrangement over a large, utility basin or sink to add water and avoid water spills.

5. Mist the heads of the flowers every 2 days and as needed, using a small spray bottle and fresh, cool water. *Hydrangeas benefit from this. If you see them wilting, spritz them with fresh, cool water and usually, they will spring back to life.

6. Remove dry and spoiled stems to avoid bacterial contamination which may affect the remainder of the flowers in the arrangement.

7. Keep all flowers out of the reach of children and pets.

8. Keep flowers out of direct sunlight.

9. Enjoy your flowers!
